We our located in San Clemente California and draw players from and
perform all over Southern California.
The San Clemente Scots Pipe Band was formed in 1994 by long time piper Bob
Wetherly and local San Clemente resident Neal Dundas. Since it’s
inception, the band has grown rapidly and now numbers approximately 30
pipers, drummers and students.

Members of the band come from all walks of life, from teenagers to retirees. Anyone interested in joining the band, experienced or not, is welcomed to visit one of our
weekly practices and meet with the band members. We are always seeking to build our ranks.
The band was incorporated in 1997 as a 401C-4 non-profit corporation, and is dedicated to preserving the tradition and history of piping and drumming. The band relies solely on donations, performances, competitions, and the generous time and commitment from its members. For more information please see our “Engagements” page

T The band is in huge
demand, performing over 20 to 30 times every year. Some of these
performances have become an annual event such as the Christmas Tree
Lighting ceremony at the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel, the many local
parades (Swallows Day parade in San Juan Capistrano, Lake Forest Forth of
July Parade, Patriots Parade in Laguna Beach), as well as the many Highland Games
that are held in Southern California throughout the year.
|
As well as performing at the many special events throughout the year, the San Clemente Scots
Pipe Band also comprises a Competition Band which began competing at the local Highland games
three years ago. Anyone interested in joining the band as either
an experienced piper or drummer, or interested in learning how to play
either the pipes or drums is encouraged to visit one of our band
practices or contact us by phone or
